Taggie Patrol

What is a Taggie? As defined by Webstrer’s Ultimate Dictionary, a Taggie is a sufficiently devolved form of a human being (i.e., by roughly four-thousand years). While still somewhat similar in appearance, the drastic disparities between humans and Taggies manifest themselves in the behavioral / cognitive realm. Taggies tend to adopt wayward personalities and make considerably poorer choices. Rather than produce, they typically prefer the consumption of massive resources for naught.

Devolution is taking hold in various pockets of the the world; in some places, radically so. Many of these resulting Taggies are shipped to Prison Town where the Taggie Patrol may keep close watch over them. Once registered, a Taggie may be easily identified by a large, unmistakable yellow tag with a black ‘T’ on it, hanging from its ear. Although Taggies are permitted to roam short distances, it is the policy of most nations to apprise human beings of precisely which bipedal manifestations are actually troublesome Taggies.

Many times, borderline Taggies are difficult to recognize. Fortunately, trained experts in the Prison Town Taggie Patrol are quite keen at discerning between the form of human proper and taggie-kind. Without the Taggie Patrol, there are very many taggies that would go on causing ruckus, tipping over trash cans, begging like crazy, kidnapping pets, and the like.

WTF is a taggie? You ask the question but don’t answer it.

The post was reworded, although the original wording should have conveyed the sense that Taggies are largely devolved human beings. Taggies are the precursor to full-blown troglodytes, for all intents and purposes.
